Sports Business and Growth Officer

SPORTS BUSINESS AND GROWTH OFFICER Location: Hybrid (Potential Fully Remote Role) Duration: Initial 6-Months Probation with Potential for Full-Time Employment Compensation: First 3 Months: No base salary but with uncapped commission up to 40%. Next 3 Months if successful: Base salary with a structured commission plan. If successful, after the completion of the 6-month period, may lead to a Business Development Officer role with an enhanced compensation package. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly driven and passionate Sports Business and Growth Officer with a deep understanding and enthusiasm for sports. This unique role is designed to grow ProZports and our clients’ businesses by driving sales, establishing strong partnerships, and contributing to the overall success of the brand. -Sales Focus: Your main KPI is generating sales for ProZports by securing new clients, closing deals, and achieving set targets and growing the client’s business. -Partnership Growth: In addition to sales, your ability to build partnerships with clubs, organizations, and brands will be rewarded as an extra bonus. -Progression: After 6 months of demonstrated success, you will be promoted to a Business Development Officer with a more structured compensation plan and expanded responsibilities. (You were to be successful in the first 3 months of the sports business and growth officer role, you will be promoted to a part time position as the sports business and growth officer for another 3 months) Key Responsibilities: Sales and Client Acquisition: Identify, engage, and secure new clients for ProZports, including clubs, schools, sports governing bodies, and event organizers. Develop and manage a strong pipeline of leads and close high-value deals through strategic relationship building. Effectively communicate ProZports’ value proposition to potential clients and tailor solutions to their needs. Partnership and Business Growth: Explore and establish long-term partnerships with sports organizations, clubs, and brands. Identify opportunities to expand ProZports’ services and revenue streams by securing key partnerships. Develop customized growth strategies that align with the goals of ProZports and its clients. Client Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and continued engagement. Provide ongoing client support and address inquiries to build trust and loyalty. Commission and Revenue Tracking: Track sales performance, monitor revenue growth, and ensure targets are met. Meet or exceed KPIs and revenue goals to advance within the company. Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications: We are looking for sports enthusiasts with a strong background in sales, partnerships, and business development who are eager to make a mark in the sports marketing industry. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the sports, marketing, or digital space. Sports Industry Involvement: Experience in playing, coaching, or working in sports management or related fields. Understanding of Sports Management: Basic knowledge of sports marketing, sponsorships, and digital services within the industry. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Self-Starter & Go-Getter Attitude: Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure, and meet sales targets. Microsoft Office Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations. Excellent written and spoken English with strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory but Highly Desirable): Digital Marketing & Content Creation: Understanding of social media marketing and digital platforms. Event Management Experience: Prior experience working on sports events, sponsorship activations, or similar projects. Bachelor’s or Masters Degree is an added qualification.
